Optics Side and Rear View Camera - Monitor Installation
NOTE:
Make sure you have read and understand all instructions
and procedures before installation. (If you are not
confident you can operate the tools needed to perform
this installation safely and correctly STOP!!!
and call your local dealer for a certified installer
in your area.)
Monitor & Adapter Mounting
Mounting the 3.5" LCD Monitor:
Find a suitable location for the
monitor for visibility and easy of use. This is usually
on the center of the headliner console or drivers' side
visor. Affix monitor with adhesive donut to desired
location. Tuck monitor cable under headliner towards
drivers side cab corner post. Route cable under plastic
cover down through the corner and side of dash to fuse
box. Connect red wire (power) to source found at fuse
box during the pre-installation test. Connect black
wire (ground) to suitable nearby ground.
Mounting the 5.6 " LCD Monitor:
Find a suitable location for the
monitor for visibility and easy of use. With the universal
mounting kit provided the monitor can be mounted on
the dash or to the overhead. When selecting the location
be sure to consider where and how the cable will be
run. Mount the universal mounting plate with the adhesive,
4 screws, or both as desired. Connect the monitor to
the mount and route wire over to the fuse box location.
Connect red wire (power) to source found at fuse box
during the pre-installation test. Connect black wire
(ground) to suitable nearby ground.
Mounting the 7 " LCD Monitor:
Find a suitable location for the
monitor for visibility and easy of use. With the universal
mounting kit provided the monitor can be mounted on
the dash or to the overhead. When selecting the location
be sure to consider where and how the cable will be
run. Mount the universal mounting plate with the adhesive,
4 screws, or both as desired. Connect the monitor to
the mount and route wire over to the fuse box location.
Connect red wire (power) to source found at fuse box
during the pre-installation test. Connect black wire
(ground) to suitable nearby ground.
Mounting the Adapter:
Find a suitable location for the
adapter. When selecting the location for the adapter
box, ensure that the power leads will reach the fuse
box and the RCA cable will reach the monitor. Also consider
how and where you will run the cables. The box can be
mounted with double sided adhesive tape available from
your local auto parts store or with tie-wraps or your
own desires. With key in the on position (ignition off)
use a test light to find a suitable 12 volt power source
in the fuse box. Connect red wire (power) to source
found at fuse box. Connect black wire (ground) to suitable
nearly ground. Connect the RCA cable between the adapter
box and your monitor.
