NOTE: Make sure you have read and understand all instructions and procedures before installation. (If you are not confident you can operate the tools needed to perform this installation safely and correctly STOP!!! and call your local dealer for a certified installer in your area.)

Test before final connection:

3.5" Monitor:
Connect other (single) end of "Y" cable to monitor connection, turn ignition key to on position (so the fuse circuit you connected to will have power), then open monitor (this turns on system) and observe picture on screen. Note: If no picture appears, then switch the video select switch on the side of monitor to the other video position. Close monitor, turn off ignition and then disconnect cable from monitor lead. You are now ready to run the cable from the rear of the vehicle to the front.

5.6" & 7" Monitors:
Connect other (single) end of "Y" cable to monitor connection, turn ignition key to on position (so the fuse circuit you connected to will have power), push the power switch on the monitor and observe picture on screen. Note: If no picture appears, then press arrow keys on monitor to select the other video input. Push power switch on monitor, turn off ignition and then disconnect cable from monitor lead. You are now ready to run the cable from the rear of the vehicle to the front.

Adapter:
Connect other end of the 20' cable to the adapter box, turn ignition key to on position (so the fuse circuit you connected to will have power), turn on your monitor and select composite video input, turn the adapter box on and observe picture on screen. Turn off adapter, monitor, and ignition. Then disconnect 20' cable from the adapter box. You are now ready to run the cable from the rear of the vehicle to the front.

Complete Installation:
Enclose connection of cable to camera with electrical tape or use heat shrink material. Route "Y cable or 20' extension cable along frame toward front of vehicle. Cable should run up frame (into engine compartment) and then into cab via existing hole in firewall or slit in rubber grommet into the cab under the dash to connect to monitor wire. Connect the "Y" cable to monitor wire or the 20' extension cable to the adapter box. Cable should be wire tied to frame or with other wire harnesses as to be secured. Appropriate tie-wraps can be used for securing the cable to the frame or other wire harnesses. CAUTION: ensure you are connecting the correct end of the "Y" cable to the camera, the single end of "Y" cable must connect to the monitor or the system will not operate correctly.
