Optics Side & Rear Vision Camera - Final Installation
Instructions
NOTE:
Make sure you have read and understand all instructions
and procedures before installation. (If you are not
confident you can operate the tools needed to perform
this installation safely and correctly STOP!!!
and call your local dealer for a certified installer
in your area.)
Test before final connection:

Monitor:
Connect other (single) end of "Y" cable to monitor connection,
turn ignition key to on position (so the fuse circuit
you connected to will have power), then open monitor
(this turns on system) and observe picture on screen.
Note: If no picture appears, then switch the video select
switch on the side of monitor to the other video position.
Close monitor, turn off ignition and then disconnect
cable from monitor lead. You are now ready to run the
cable from the rear of the vehicle to the front.
5.6" & 7" Monitors:
Connect other (single) end of "Y" cable to monitor connection,
turn ignition key to on position (so the fuse circuit
you connected to will have power), push the power switch
on the monitor and observe picture on screen. Note:
If no picture appears, then press arrow keys on monitor
to select the other video input. Push power switch on
monitor, turn off ignition and then disconnect cable
from monitor lead. You are now ready to run the cable
from the rear of the vehicle to the front.
Adapter:
Connect other end of the 20' cable to the adapter box,
turn ignition key to on position (so the fuse circuit
you connected to will have power), turn on your monitor
and select composite video input, turn the adapter box
on and observe picture on screen. Turn off adapter,
monitor, and ignition. Then disconnect 20' cable from
the adapter box. You are now ready to run the cable
from the rear of the vehicle to the front.
Complete Installation:
Enclose connection of cable to camera with electrical
tape or use heat shrink material. Route "Y cable
or 20' extension cable along frame toward front of vehicle.
Cable should run up frame (into engine compartment)
and then into cab via existing hole in firewall or slit
in rubber grommet into the cab under the dash to connect
to monitor wire. Connect the "Y" cable to
monitor wire or the 20' extension cable to the adapter
box. Cable should be wire tied to frame or with other
wire harnesses as to be secured. Appropriate tie-wraps
can be used for securing the cable to the frame or other
wire harnesses. CAUTION: ensure you
are connecting the correct end of the "Y"
cable to the camera, the single end of "Y"
cable must connect to the monitor or the system will
not operate correctly.
