Most people know that all vehicles
have blind spots behind and to the side of them, but
do you know how big your rear blind spot is?
Even in a small SUV the rear blind spot can be up to 24 feet
long! In a large SUV or a full size pickup the rear blind
spot can extend to beyond 50 feet. Think about how fast your child can disappear into 50 feet of unsupervised space and how quickly you back up. That's a dangerous combination for anyone, especially a child that thinks you know everything and can see everything!
By installing a Mobile Optics inSIGHT Side and Rear Vision camera system you can eliminate your blindspots and see 360° around your vehicle. Simply turn on the rear vision camera system and you will see how much room there is between you and other obstacles so you can avoid them - whether it's a child, another vehicle, an animal, the edge of a cliff or the curb. It's amazing that such a small and simple product can make such a big difference in safety.
Don't wait until you've had an accident or tragedy to realize how important complete visibility is - get your inSIGHT Side and Rear Vision cameras now and start avoiding accidents.
Are you curious enough to learn how big your rear blind spot is? Follow these three easy steps:
- Place an object approximately 2 feet tall (the approximate size of a small child or a dog) directly behind your vehicle
- Drive forward until you can see the object in your rear view mirror
- Measure the distance between your bumper and the object. This is the length of your rear blind spot.
